Time is running out for teams to solidify their place in the College Football Playoff, and Week 13 features several games with significant postseason stakes. CBS Sports analyst Aaron Taylor predicts that a double-digit favorite will suffer an upset on November 23.
FanDuel has the No. 3 Texas Longhorns as 20.5-point favorites against Kentucky in an SEC showdown, but Taylor’s focus is on a Big Ten clash. In the SEC, the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide is favored by 13.5 points over Oklahoma, while the Auburn Tigers are only 2.5-point underdogs against the No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies in their bid to spoil the Aggies’ playoff chances.
Taylor is particularly confident that the No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers will upset the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes. “I believe Indiana’s front seven will challenge Ohio State’s offensive line,” Taylor said on CBS Sports’ *Inside College Football.* “This moment isn’t too big for them. I think Indiana wins this game.”
Although it might not seem like a monumental upset, the Buckeyes are 13.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel. Critics are skeptical about Indiana’s playoff legitimacy due to their relatively weak schedule, ranked No. 62 by FanDuel and even lower at No. 106 by ESPN’s College Football Power Index. A loss could jeopardize Indiana’s playoff hopes, despite their current top-five ranking.
