The Las Vegas Raiders dropped to a 2-8 record on Sunday after losing to the Miami Dolphins, further solidifying the notion that the 2024 season is shaping up to be a lost cause. The team has struggled to find consistency on both offense and defense. Following the defeat, the Raiders announced on Tuesday the release of two players from their practice squad: tight end Trevon Wesco and linebacker Blake Lynch.
Wesco, who entered the league in 2019, has played for the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, and Tennessee Titans, accumulating just 134 receiving yards and nine catches over his career. Lynch, who debuted in 2020, has had stints with the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Chargers, recording 51 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.
Raiders fans have been calling for the team to make a significant move, such as acquiring a quarterback or offensive playmakers, but the organization appears to be in tank mode, aiming for a top draft pick. Many fans are already losing hope for 2024 and looking ahead to the future.
