Official Cowboy’s News : Cowboy Five Star Player Out Of ThanksGiving Game With The Giants, Due To Severe Injury.

The Dallas Cowboys will be playing on a short week in Week 13, facing the New York Giants in their annual Thanksgiving game on Thursday.

Ahead of the game, the Cowboys released an estimated injury report following Monday’s walkthrough practice, which showed several players dealing with injuries. Among them was quarterback Cooper Rush, who has stepped in as the starter with Dak Prescott sidelined. Rush was listed as a limited participant on Monday due to a knee injury, which could affect his availability for Thursday’s game.

Since Monday’s practice was just a walkthrough, Rush’s status was an estimate of his potential participation in a full practice. His status for Tuesday’s session will be important to monitor. If Rush is unable to play due to the knee injury, Trey Lance may be called upon to start. Lance has appeared in two games for the Cowboys this season, briefly taking the field in their Week 12 win over the Washington Commanders, though he did not attempt a pass. Rush, meanwhile, threw two touchdown passes and no interceptions in that game, completing a season-high 75% of his passes.
