New information about the whereabouts of the DJI Mini 5 series has emerged online. To recap, initial details that emerged in December pointed to a summer 2025 release for the Mini 5 or Mini 5 Pro. Jasper Ellens then suggested that the series would not arrive until ‘late 2025’, upon which he has now elaborated.
Specifically, the leaker offered up the indication of ‘8 more months’ in response to a prompt about the dearth of Mini 5 Pro rumours. On the one hand, this could be interpreted that Mini 5 Pro leaks will begin in earnest during October, which would be after the second anniversary of the Mini 4 Pro’s release (curr. $1,359 on Amazon).
On the other hand, one could infer that October may be the release month for the Mini 5 Pro, particularly given the prospect of an Air 4 drone launch before the start of next year. The Mini 5 Pro is expected to officially appear alongside the Neo 2 in what could be a joint launch. In the meantime, it looks like one of the Osmo Action 6, Osmo Mobile 7 or the RS 4 Mini could be next in line for release
