Breaking News: Bills Expected to Swap 26-Year-Old player for ‘Dynamic Playmaker’

The pressing question for the New York Giants as of November 12 is whether they’ll decide to bench quarterback Daniel Jones after their Week 11 bye.

Although the decision lies with head coach Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen, it’s becoming evident that Jones may not be the Giants’ long-term solution at QB. Draft analyst Ryan Roberts from A-to-Z Sports suggests that the team could target Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward as Jones’s replacement in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

“It was clear early that the Daniel Jones Era wasn’t going to work,” Roberts commented. “The Giants need a quarterback reset, and Ward could be that answer.”

While Roberts acknowledges Ward’s “boom-or-bust” potential, he believes New York should take the risk. Bleacher Report draft scout Dame Parson praises Ward as a “phenomenal playmaker” with strong arm talent and natural passing instincts, along with the ability to handle complex offensive decisions, like pre-snap adjustments. However, Ward’s tendency to play “hero ball” can sometimes lead to risky moves.

A top Heisman Trophy candidate and standout QB prospect, Ward is 6-foot-2 and over 220 pounds. NFL Draft Buzz analyst Felix Green describes him as a “mobile pocket passer.”
