Arsenal’s players benefit from the school’s Full-Time Training Module (FTTM), allowing students to attend classes three days per week and dedicate afternoons to training. This setup enables young athletes to balance academics and football development, with St John’s providing support to keep students academically on track.
Headteacher Alexander Tardios commented on the school’s growing reputation among footballers, explaining how Arsenal’s affiliation has led to increased applications from young athletes affiliated with clubs like Watford, West Ham, and Tottenham. According to Tardios, word of mouth has fueled the school’s appeal, particularly with its Champions League-standard facilities and disciplined environment.
The added educational opportunities are a decisive factor for some parents in choosing Arsenal over other top academies like Manchester City’s.
