Breaking News: Garmin has quickly announce the latest 2025 forerunner smartwatches after finalising software version with…..

Garmin has issued a new update for its suite of Forerunner smartwatches. Rolling out now globally on the company’s Beta Program, the update primarily improves HR zone functionality for all currently supported models. The new update promises to refine notification glance functionality on the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965, too.

Garmin has quickly turned around a new update for various Forerunner smartwatches, shortly after finalising Software Version 22.12 for the same devices. To recap, the recent stable update brought several bug fixes to the Forerunner 165 and Forerunner 965 (curr. $594.99 on Amazon), among others. Software Version 22.12 also promised to make Run Coach and Cycling Coach improvements, full details of which we have covered separately. This time, Garmin has jumped ahead to v22.14, which is currently restricted to its Beta Program. Unfortunately, there is currently no indication when this new build will transition from beta to stable status. The fact that Beta Version 22.12 quickly reached stable status implies that its successor will receive the same treatment, though. The Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 have all received the same two bug fixes, which focus on resolving heart rate (HR) zone issues. On the one hand, Beta Version 22.14 contains a fix for a bug that could potentially cause a crash when editing HR zones. On the other hand, the same update is said to resolve separate issues that resulted in the wrong time from showing or even the wrong HR zones altogether.
