The amazing DJI Mini 4K drone falls to its lowest ever price
News
By Adam Juniper published February 5, 2025
This drone kit has enough gear to be the only one you ever need – it’s a good choice at full price but this deal is amazing!
likely the best bet for most enthusiasts and aspiring pros. It offers a solid mix of features without the added complexity of higher-end models. It has a few quirks common with DJI gimbals, but overall, it’s sturdy, silent, and reliable.
How we tested the DJI SR4 Mini Gimbal
I have used just about every generation of the RS-series gimbals, and I set this one up just like I would any other model. I spent several hours operating it with a Canon R5 Mark II, as well as an iPhone 16 Pro Max (using the optional smartphone mounting kit).
During our two-week review period, I tested the built-in tracking modes, re-balanced it with various cameras, and shot several hours of varied subjects, from walking around a farmer’s market to capturing CrossFit athletes working out. I am not a great filmmaker, but I shoot solid B-roll, so that’s the majority of my testing process.
The setup
This is my least favorite part of using any gimbal, and the setup process here is still a bit quirky. The app provides helpful videos on how to get things up and running, but the gimbal has to be connected to the app in order to view them. That wouldn’t be an issue if the gimbal didn’t have to be turned off while you’re balancing it. Annoying but certainly not a deal breaker.
It was roughly 15 minutes from taking it out of the box that I was using the gimbal with setup 95 percent complete. The metal frame has a Teflon coating for protection, which does seem very tough but can also give some resistance when it comes to moving the arms around. These are small complaints, though, and once everything is balanced, the RS4 Mini kept everything balanced like a champ.

The DJI Mini 4K is an excellent entry-level drone from the market leader in consumer drones, and as the drone expert, this is the drone I’d highly recommend, particularly at the prices I am finding it – currently just $238.99 with the RC-N1 controller at Amazon.

DJI, at one point, seemed to hesitate about sharing the high-resolution 4K camera with their cheapest drone, and they only did so with the launch of this drone back in April this year, so it’s still something of a bargain at full price. Now you can choose between this 4K video drone or the more child-safe (but less photo/video-centric DJI Neo).
Anyway, when I reviewed and tested this I gave it 5 stars because of the value (and that was at full price. Now I’ve seen the prices fall back down to where they were over Black Friday

The DJI Mini 4K is a capable drone, which boasts GPS and a good quality remote control capable of keeping a clear signal from a range of up to 10km (much more than the distance you’re legally allowed to fly, but that means the live video won’t drop out).
There is one-touch return to home, around 30 minutes of flight time, and the ability to fly in wind of up to 5 on the Beaufort scale (thats 38kph).

Wedding and events photographers spend hundreds of hours editing thousands of images every year. But what if time spent in Adobe Lightroom Classic could be cut by up to 90 percent? Neurapix’s AI-powered SmartPrests slash the number of hours professional photographers spend editing images. This results in faster deliverables and frees up time for additional assignments, better brand promotion, and more R&R.
The German tech company’s advanced AI learns your personal editing style in just one to two hours by analyzing only 500 images; that’s a single wedding for most professionals. You can even start with 20 examples if you don’t have enough consistently edited images. And a SmartPreset really is smart. Neurapix doesn’t just assign the same fixed editing settings to a batch of images, like a traditional preset, it applies bespoke settings to up to 1,000 images per minute.
That includes individual AI cropping and straightening – which no competitor currently offers – as well as masking so you can automatically enhance features such as eyes and teeth. And you can create as many SmartPresets as you like, crucial for photographers who work in both color and black and white.

More than 20,000 real-world photographers already rely on Neurapix to enhance their workflow. Experienced UK-based Wedding photographer, Steve Grogan, says: “Using Neurapix has reduced my editing time by around 50% (…) it saves you a huge amount of time whilst also providing the artistic freedom to make any tweaks or subtle changes”. Steve is meticulous about his edits: “I’ve never been the type to just apply a preset, then move on. For me, it’s super important to ensure each image is the best it can be before I deliver a gallery to my couples.”
Editing is an organic process and a photographer’s style can change. Steve knows that Neurapix’s AI will adapt along with him, “it is always learning with each batch of freshly edited images that you submit to re-train the algorithm. Over time, as I tweak my edits, Neurapix will adapt accordingly”.
