Official Cowboys News : Dallas Cowboys Elite Key Player Sustains Season Ending Injury Amidst Game With Rival.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown suffered a severe knee injury during his team’s 27-20 defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.

In the fourth quarter, Overshown was struck on the side of his right leg and had to leave the game. Initially, it was feared that he had torn his ACL in his right knee, but subsequent reports on Tuesday revealed that he had also torn his MCL and PCL in the same knee.

Overshown, a third-round pick by the Cowboys in 2023 out of Texas, had an impressive season, registering 90 tackles, 5 sacks, and an interception. He had been playing well above expectations for a second-day draft pick.

His recovery is expected to be lengthy, potentially taking up to a year. Despite the setback, Overshown has maintained a positive outlook, telling a fan that he refuses to become a “what if” story.
