Thomas Pieters has left RangeGoats GC to join Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces GC team, marking the first of several expected moves during the LIV Golf off-season. Pieters, who joined LIV Golf in February 2023, previously played for Bubba Watson’s RangeGoats GC for two seasons. The Belgian golfer, with six DP World Tour victories and four points in his Ryder Cup debut in 2016, finished 33rd in his first season and 30th in 2024.
As a result of Pieters’ transfer, 4Aces GC now has five players, while RangeGoats GC did not receive a player in return. 4Aces GC’s current roster includes captain Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Harold Varner III, and Pat Perez. Perez’s contract is set to expire on January 1, 2025, leaving his future with the team uncertain—he could either remain as a reserve, join another team, or potentially take on a wildcard or reserve role within the league.
Johnson expressed his excitement about Pieters joining, calling him a strong addition to the team. Pieters shared his enthusiasm, stating he was eager to push Johnson to perform even better. 4Aces GM Chris Rosaasen also welcomed Pieters, looking forward to the team’s prospects for the upcoming season.
